Happy February! We are well into the winter buying season and buyers have many options! Resale inventory has opened a bit in both the single-family and condominium market, and new construction homes are also available in many different locations in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, and Ft. Myers. Having many choices make the Southwest Florida region a great place to buy!
If you’re not sure if you’d like to purchase a new construction home or a resale home, there are specific things you should know before making that decision. For example, buyers need representation for new construction especially in this shifting market (I will address the shifting market reference a little later…). Greetings Neighbors and Happy New Year!
I hope you’ve been enjoying the chilly weather we’ve been fortunate enough to have over the last month. While the temperatures have been cooling down, the Southwest Florida real estate market has been heating up a bit in January 2019. We’re off to a great start with a very active season thus far, but how did the market fare overall in 2018? Let’s look at our year-end review.

The lion’s share of single-family units sold in 2018 were in the $200,000 to $500,000 price segments; these sales made up almost 70 percent of single-family units sold 2018. For condo; ...

Greetings Neighbors and Happy Holidays!
It’s hard to believe we are at the end of the year already! It sure went by fast, but if you did not get an opportunity to list your home for sale in 2018 and you’re thinking about waiting until January 2019, you may want to consider listing now. Most homeowners believe that listing a home for sale during the holiday season is perhaps the most ineffective thing you can do, but listing during the holidays is actually a pretty good time to list! Here’s why…
We know that buyers are already here in the market and looking right now and buyers looking during the holidays are serious! They have made a commitment to visit open houses and look for the right home during a very busy time - only a serious buyer would do that… and if you’re selling, that can work to your advantage! Additionally, there is not a lot of competition on the market right now, but come January 2019, we will see a flood of inv ...

The trends are constantly changing and they may also vary from one designer to the next. To take some of the guess work out of learning about design trends to expect in 2019, here is a compilation formed with forecasts from some of the most known home design industry experts from coast to coast:
Whether it is a handcrafted metal frame mirror, a hand-carved wood headboard, or a few smaller artisanal elements that just add some new life to a space, artisanal pieces are expected to be in the spotlight in 2019. Handmade and craftsmanship in general have been gaining more attention in the last few years, but this is expected to show up even more significantly in 2019. Anything from sinks to shower door hardware to wall decorations from very unique vendors can be exp ...
